The Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO)

The Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO) is an association of professional organizations whose members have an active interest in the practice and professionalism of Enterprise Architecture.

FEAPO ( provides a forum to facilitate collaboration and coordination of activities of among Enterprise Architecture (EA) related professional organizations, to work toward a better integrated community and "one face" for the advancement of the profession of Enterprise Architecture.  The advent of FEAPO has been welcomed the world over because there is a strong desire among practitioners and organizations in many countries to professionalize and advance the field of enterprise architecture.

DAMA International and the DAMA Foundation have since the mid-1980's focused on providing, educating, and developing the professionalism of individuals whose careers are in data management.  Typical areas involving data management activities include: enterprise architecture, business process architecture, data architecture, data modeling, database administration, business intelligence and analytics, data warehousing, knowledge management, repository management, and semantics.  DAMA supports each of the topical areas.

Ms. Hunt,a DAMA Foundation Board Member, currently serves on the 2012 FEAPO Board of Directors.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

The ( is a learned society for computing.  Founded in 1947 as the world's first scientific and educational computing society.  It has chapters, special interest groups, and 500 college and university chapters.  Several of ACM's interest groups focus on data and information management (SIGMOD - Management of Data, SIGKDD - Knowledge and Data Mining, SIGIR - Information Retrieval, and SIGWEB - Hypertext, hypermedia, and Web) to name a few.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

The IEEE is a non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation related to electricity.  The IEEE ( has multiple societies, each focused on a certain knowledge area, such as: IEEE Computer Society.  IEEE also provides specialized publications, conferences, and business networking.

Information Resources Management Association (IRMA)

The IRMA organization provides peer-reviewed technical works covering all areas of technology applied to modern organizations.  The goal of the association is to enhance knowledge of current topics in Information Resources Management and research by providing papers, scholarly journal articles, and book chapters via downloadable media. The IRMA ( also conducts conferences, and business networking events.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Information Quality  (MITIQ)

MITIQ program ( at MIT is dedicated to working with government and industry to improve their ability to capture and harness the power of their information.  To this end, MIT provides multiple IQ programs and initiatives, which equip organizations with knowledge and tools that improve the quality of their information.  These IQ programs and initiatives are based on rigorous relevant research, analysis, and practical experience.

DAMA International has been an active participant and supporter of this program.
